Referring Attorneys
A substantial number of our cases are referred to us by other attorneys who are aware of our courtroom experience and reputation.
It is common for lawyers who practice in other areas to refer their personal injury and wrongful death cases to us. We welcome these referrals and the opportunity to assist other attorneys in providing their clients with the best representation possible. When a lawyer refers a case to us, there is absolutely no additional cost to the client. If we take on a case as a referral from another lawyer, neither the client nor the referring lawyer pays anything extra.
We handle referrals in a number of ways. In some cases, we act as co-counsel, where the referring lawyer remains as counsel in the case. In other cases, we take over the case completely. In these situations, we handle all the client’s needs as they relate to that specific matter. At the conclusion of the case, we refer the client back to the original lawyer for all future legal services.
Referring lawyers have stated they were most impressed with our:
- Case preparation
- Unique use of focus groups
- Discovering powerful scenes and themes, and story structure
- Opening Statements, Direct and Cross Examinations and Closing Arguments
- Exhibit Development
- Courtroom Technology
- Results
- Empathy and true caring
Whether we take over as lead counsel or serve as co-counsel, we pay referring attorneys reasonable referral fees in accordance with the ethical rules adopted by the State of Connecticut.
