About Contingency Fees

At Nugent & Bryant, you owe nothing if we do not recover money for you. We represent people who have been injured in accidents caused by another’s carelessness. We also help families who have lost someone due to another person’s fault. In the majority of cases, our clients do not have the money to pay an expensive retainer or hourly attorney’s fees. We understand, which is why we accept cases on a contingency fee basis. This means you pay nothing unless we are successful in your case.

In a contingent fee arrangement, attorney’s fees depend upon a positive outcome in the case. If there is no recovery, the client owes absolutely nothing. If we prevail on your claim, you do not pay until the case is over.

No Obligation Appointments

We believe everyone deserves a chance to discuss their case with a lawyer without worrying about the cost. At Nugent & Bryant, your initial consultation is absolutely free. We charge nothing to discuss the facts of your case, conduct an initial investigation, or review your medical records. We also come to you. We will travel to your home, your office, or your hospital room – wherever it’s convenient for you. Whether we meet with you in our office or elsewhere, your information is kept private and confidential.

Clear, Concise Fee Agreements Written in Plain English

If we decide to take your case, we will enter into a specific written agreement with you regarding attorney’s fees and costs. This agreement will be clear and simple to read, so you know exactly what to expect from the beginning of your case to the very end. Our agreements clearly state the scope of our representation and how we calculate attorney’s fees. If we expend costs on your behalf, the agreement also states that these advances will be reimbursed to the firm out of any compensation we obtain on your behalf. There are no surprises and no unexpected costs. That is our promise.
